Airtel offers 50GB data to postpaid users under Rs 999 plan

Country’s leading telecom operator Airtel has rolled another ‘unlimited calls’ plan. The telecom operator has announced a Rs 999 plan for postpaid users. The plan comes under the company’s ‘My Infinity Plan’ and offers users 50GB data, unlimited local and STD calls as well as free roaming calls.
The plan is available for both existing and new users. The subscribers of this plan will also be able to avail the company’s ‘data rollover’ offer. Under the ‘data rollover offer’, the unused data is forwarded to the next billing cycle of the user. According to the plan, once a user exhausts his 50GB data limit, then he will be charged at a rate of 50 paisa per MB
Apart from the data and calling benefits, the company will also be giving Airtel Secure service for free for a period of six months. Under the service, the telco will get the phone repaired from the authorised service centre in case of any accidental damage.
Last month, Airtel launched the Rs 999 plan for its prepaid users under which it offered 4GB 3G/4G data per day along with unlimited calling for the period of 28 days.
Incidentally, as part of its new plans, which were launched in July, Reliance Jio also has a plan for Rs 999. The Reliance Jio 999 plan offers 90GB data for 90 days with no FUP limit. This offer is valid for 90 days.
Recently, Airtel launched its 4G smartphone in association with Karbonn. The company has introduced Karbonn A40 Indian smartphone at an effective price of Rs 1,399. It is a touchscreen smartphone and comes with dual-SIM functionality. The smartphone comes bundled with a monthly pack of Rs 169 from Airtel which offers data and calling benefits.
