There has been a lot of buzz amongst the pulses belt for the recent launch of e-portals taken by the NCCF (National Cooperative Consumers’ Federation of India) and NAFED (National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India) under the guidance of the Honourable Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah.
Many have registered their names for Tur procurement through NCCF and NAFED.
This initiative is gaining traction and farmers are engaging with the e-portals for the procurement of their produce. So far registrations are coming from Maharashtra, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.
Many Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) have registered on the portal to enable farmers under them. PACS play a crucial role in rural credit and agricultural development, and their active participation in such initiatives can contribute to the success of agricultural programs.
Company such as Agribid Private Limited which is working to empower Farmers and Transform lives, is associated with NCCF and is further assisting in the procurement of various commodities.
Ashutosh Mishra, the CEO of Agribid Pvt Ltd. said, “The government’s initiative to boost the morale of pulses farmers through digital platforms and streamlined procurement processes can indeed contribute significantly to the goal of achieving self-reliance (Atmanirbharta) in pulses production.”
