Acer at its pre-IFA event in Berlin launched what it claims is the acerworld’s first curved screen gaming notebook called Predator 21 X. Acer Predator 21 X will be made to order starting 2017, according to the company.

The laptop features a massive 21-inch (2560×1080 pixels) curved display, which is also one of the key highlights of the device. The curved display features NVIDIA G-SYNC technology for enhanced viewing experience. The processing power of the laptop is governed by two Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 GPUs clubbed with recently announced 7th Generation Intel Kaby Lake processor and 4TB of SSD storage. The GeForce GTX 1080 GPU also makes the laptop VR-ready.

Some of the other features of the laptop are four DD4 RAM slots that could go up to 64GB, Tobii eye-tracking, full-size mechanical keyboard and a rear air vent with 5 Aeroblade metal system fans to keep the system cool. The mechanical keyboard features Cherry MX switches with customization RGB backlight settings for each key.

Weighing as much as 8kg, the Acer Predator 21 X uses the aforementioned Tobii eye-tracking technology that allows gamers to better aim at and identify enemies while playing games. “Eye tracking also enhances the experience by providing infinite views whilst navigating treacherous paths and roads in a game,” says the company in a blog post.

Talking about the audio system the Predator 21 X ships with the SoundPound 4.2+ (4 speakers and 2 subwoofers) and Dolby Audio technology as well.

The company didn’t disclose the laptop’s pricing. It also launched its Swift and Spin range of laptops along with a desktop PC, a Chromebook, a detachable laptop and three gaming monitors.
