Anthropic Extends Free Access to Claude Fable 5 Until July 19

Anthropic has announced another extension for its promotional free access to the Claude Fable 5 AI model. Originally scheduled to wrap up on July 12, the company has pushed the deadline back, granting users free availability until July 19.

In tandem with the extended deadline, Anthropic is continuing its usage boost for developers and creators. Users will retain access to an extra 50% on top of their weekly subscription limits for Claude Fable 5 and Claude Code at no additional charge. According to the company’s official support documentation, this promotional tier applies to users on Pro, Max, Team, and premium tiers within seat-based Enterprise plans.

Platforms Supporting Claude Fable 5

The Fable 5 model can be deployed across a wide variety of official environments, including:

  • Claude on the web, Mobile, and Desktop apps

  • Claude Cowork (requires the latest desktop version)

  • Claude Code (requires version 2.1.170 or later)

  • Claude Design, Claude Tag, Microsoft 365, and Teams integrations

For standard web, desktop, and mobile applications, users can activate the model simply by choosing “Fable 5” from the drop-down model picker.

Managing Weekly Limits

Once a user exhausts the promotional 50% increase to their weekly limits, they have two paths forward for the remainder of the billing cycle:

  1. Purchase Usage Credits: Users can opt to pay as they go for additional computations beyond the standard plan limits. These credits are invoiced independently from the regular subscription fees.

  2. Switch Models: Users can seamlessly transition to a different Claude model to continue working without incurring extra costs while preserving their base plan limits.

This protocol remains uniform whether working within the web browser, mobile apps, desktop clients, or terminal environments like Claude Code.
