A significant seminar on property rating for digital connectivity was organized by the Bhopal team of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India at Hyatt Raipur in Raipur. The event featured detailed discussions on strengthening digital connectivity, improving network infrastructure in buildings, and advancing the goals of Digital India.
On this occasion, Dr. Tarun Kumar Taunk, Director of ICPL Jaipur — the agency appointed for digital connectivity rating — shared insights on TRAI’s Digital Connectivity Regulation 2024. He explained that digital connectivity ratings can ensure better internet and mobile connectivity in both government and private buildings, which would also boost business and service delivery.

Dr. Tarun Kumar Taunk said, “Through digital connectivity ratings, future-ready (future-proof) network infrastructure can be developed in buildings. This will not only strengthen Digital India but also improve the quality of business and services.”
During the seminar, experts shared their views on key topics such as the TRAI rating framework, measures to ensure future-proof connectivity, rating procedures, and evaluation criteria.
Key participants included Sanjay Kumar Gupta (Advisor, TRAI Bhopal), Dr. Om Prakash Vyas (Director, Indian Institute of Technology Naya Raipur), Dr. Sameer Vajpayee (National Institute of Technology Raipur), Rajeev Prakash (Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai), Vijay Kumar Chhablani (Chief General Manager, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited), Salil Shrivastava (Chief Engineer, Naya Raipur), S.K. Mishra (Doordarshan), Kush Manhar (BSNL), Manmohan Vyas, Alok Shrivastava, along with leading builders, industrialists, architects, government and public sector officials, representatives of builder associations, telecom and internet service providers, experts, students, and teachers.
TRAI Advisor Sanjay Kumar Gupta said, “Digital connectivity has now become a fundamental requirement of every modern building. TRAI’s rating framework has been designed keeping future digital needs in mind.”
Experts present at the program emphasized that digital connectivity ratings will help develop better network infrastructure in buildings and play a significant role in building a strong digital ecosystem in the country.
