Google has introduced a new subscription plan called AI Plus, aimed at making its advanced AI tools more accessible to users. This new tier sits between the free version and the higher-end AI Pro membership, offering extra features at a lower price point.
Subscribers to AI Plus will enjoy access to powerful tools like the Gemini 2.5 Pro AI model and the Veo 3 Fast video generation tool. One of the standout benefits is a 128K token context window for Gemini – that’s four times more than what’s available to users on the free plan, allowing for more detailed and complex interactions.
In addition to this, AI Plus users can take advantage of the Gemini side panel within Google Workspace apps such as Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, and Drive. Creative tools like Whisk (which transforms images into videos) and Flow (for video editing) are also included. Subscribers get 200GB of cloud storage shared across Gmail, Drive, and Photos.
At present, the AI Plus subscription is only available in Indonesia at IDR 75,000 per month (roughly Rs. 400), with a 50% discount for the first six months. For comparison, Google’s AI Ultra plan costs Rs. 24,500 per month in India, while the AI Pro plan is priced at Rs. 1,950.
This move comes as Google continues expanding its AI offerings globally. Earlier this year, the company launched AI Mode in India, which now supports multiple languages including Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, and Brazilian Portuguese.
With AI Plus, Google is opening the door for more users to explore AI-powered tools without committing to high subscription costs – a step that could make AI more approachable and useful for everyday tasks.
