Xiaomi to Introduces 4 More Phones in 2015

xiaomi-logo1Chinese website Mobile-Dad claims to have gotten hold of Xiaomi and Huawei’s product roadmap for the remaining months of 2015, shedding light on what new smartphones and phablets the two will launch this year.

According to the leak, Xiaomi has four new handsets planned for 2015.

The next smartphone to be launched is called Xiaomi Mi 4S, suggesting that the Chinese company may be emulating Apple once again, this time in naming conventions. Scheduled to be launched in June, this is said to feature a 5-inch Full HD display and run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, a 13MP rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 5MP front-facing camera.

This will be followed by 2 smartphones in July — Redmi Note 2 and Redmi Note 2 Pro. Both mid-range smartphones will features a 5.5-inch HD display a 13MP rear camera and 5MP selfie snapper. While Redmi Note 2 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, the Redmi Note 2 Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor.

The highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi 5, the successor of Mi 4, is planned for November and comes with a 5.2-inch QHD (1440x2560p) display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, and a 20.2MP rear camera.

The leaked roadmap also shows Huawei’s Ascend D8, with a 5.5-inch QHD display, a Hisilicon SoC, and metal casing, to be launched in May. This smartphone will be followed by Ascend Mate 8, to be launched in June and sporting a 6-inch QHD display, Kirin SoC, and 16MP rear camera with OIS.

In July, Huawei plans to launch 2 smartphones, however the roadmap doesn’t reveal their names. One of them comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD display and Hisilicon SoC, and the other with a 5-inch HD display and Qualcomm CPU.

The next model of the Honor flagship series, Honor 7, is due in August and reportedly comes with a 5.5-inch HD display, Kirin SoC, and dual 13MP cameras. The Ascend P9, with a 5.2-inch display, Kirin SoC, and a 16MP camera with OIS, is also scheduled to launch with it.
