Xiaomi Smartphones Now Available For Purchase On Paytm

Digital payments major Paytm has partnered with Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi to offer the latter’s complete range of smartphones on its online shopping platform. All Mi smartphones, including the recently launched Mi Max, will be available for purchase on Paytm starting July 8.

As part of the strategic alliance, Mi India will open a brand store on Paytm for creating a smartphone and accessories portfolio. Xiaomi’s handsets like the flagship Mi 5, as well as budget devices like Redmi Note 3 and Redmi 2 Prime will be available on Paytm from July 8.

As an introductory promotion, Paytm will be offering cash-backs and free Mi Bands to ten customers every hour on the day of launch. These include cashbacks of Rs 500 for Redmi Note 3, Rs 1000 for Mi 5 and Rs 250 for Redmi 2 Prime and Redmi 2, July 8 to July 10.

“To the delight of our users, we are now making Xiaomi products easily available on Paytm with the added attraction of launch offers and deals. This move is in line with our strategy of making available the largest assortment in the country to our users,” said Amit Bagaria, vice president, Paytm.

Xiaomi’s latest Mi Max phablet will be available on all online platforms including Paytm, starting July 13, without any registrations.

The Mi Max is Xiaomi’s biggest smartphone and bears a price of Rs 14,999. It also happens to be the heaviest smartphone that Xiaomi has ever launched.
