Xiaomi’s budget 4G-smartphone, the Redmi Note 4G, will go on sale on Tuesday via Flipkart. The flash sale on Tuesday for the Redmi Note 4G will kick off at 2pm IST on Flipkart for registered users. As of now, the company has not detailed the number of units that will be up for purchase.

Flipkart’s Mi page notes that every user will have to register each time for separate sales and due to the great demand of Xiaomi handsets, it will limit orders to one phone per registered email ID per sale.

The last flash sale saw 60,000 units of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G going on sale; however Xiaomi did not reveal the exact amount of time taken for the inventory to go out of stock, something the company rarely misses publicising.

Late last month, Xiaomi announced that the Redmi Note 4G smartphone will go on sale over the Republic Day weekend (from January 24 to January 26) without registration. The company however did not announce exactly how many units were available to buy in the open sale.

With the weekend open sale for the Redmi Note 4G, Flipkart postponed the next flash sale for the Redmi Note 4G to February 3, instead of January 27 as revealed earlier, and the registrations for the sales are currently open.

Notably, Flipkart, Xiaomi’s exclusive online retail partner, is also taking registrations for the flagship Mi 4, priced at Rs. 19,999, which will go on sale on February 10.

In January, Xiaomi’s 2013 flagship smartphone, the Mi 3, started receiving the MIUI 6 update based on Android 4.4 KitKat in India. The Chinese company also confirmed that the MIUI 6 update will be rolled out to all the Xiaomi smartphones that have been sold in India. Apart from the Mi 3, the Redmi Note 4G would start receiving the update this week, while both the Redmi 1S and Redmi Note will get the update in early March.
