Xiaomi Mi 7 to sport Snapdragon 845 SoC: Report

It’s been almost four months since Xiaomi launched its flagship smartphone Mi 6. Now, rumours about its successor the Xiaomi Mi 7 has already surfaced online. According to a post on Weibo, the Mi 7 is said to sport a bigger display and a bigger battery. The post also hints that the device might be announced in the first quarter of 2018.
The device may feature a 6-inch full HD AMOLED display from Samsung compared to the 5.15 inch full HD LCD screen on the Xiaomi Mi 6. The devicemight be powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC, according to the post.
Since most of the new smartphones are being launched with less bezels, it will be safe to assume that Xiaomi could be taking the same route.
As of now, the company launched its first dual camera smartphone with Android One in India, the Xiaomi Mi A1 priced at Rs 14,999 exclusively available on Flipkart. The Xiaomi Mi A1 runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat and comes with pure Android UI onboard. It has been also announced that the Mi A1 will be getting Android 8.0 Oreo and Android P as well.
It has a 5.5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass, the Xiaomi Mi A1 features a full-metal body with rounded edges. Under the hood, there is a mid-range octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, clubbed with 4GB RAM and Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone comes with 64GB inbuilt storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card.
