Xiaomi is all set to introduce a new version of its MIUI operating system (OS). Dubbed as MIUI 7, the latest operating system will be based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Reports further suggest that the all new MIUI 7 will be unveiled at a press event which is to be held at China National Convention Center in Beijing on August 13.
Though Xiaomi’s MIUI was released almost a year ago, more specification and features of the latest operating system are still under the wraps.
If reports are to be believed, the Chinese tech firm is also gearing up for the release of its much-anticipated Xiaomi Mi 5 at the same event.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to feature a 13.20 cm (5.2-inch) display. Powered by a Snapdragon 810 chipset, the phone will probably run on Android 5.1-based user interface. The Mi 5 is all set to come with 16MP rear camera besides a 13MP front-facing camera. Though, all other features and specifications are still under the wraps, reports reveal that the handset will be backed by a strong 3000mAh battery. The rumoured Microsoft Windows 10 based Xiaomi Mi tablet might also steal the limelight on the same day.
