Xiaomi Introduces A New Ultra High-Definition Smart TV

Chinese tech firm Xiaomi has recently unveiled the dynamic Mi TV2S. The TV comes with a 121.92 cm (48- Xiaomiinch) UHD display and a 4K panel. Powered by a Mstar 6A928 quad-core 1.4GHz processor with Cortex A17 cores, the television is just 9.9 mm thin and comes with the connectivity options like HDMI, Wi-Fi, USB and Bluetooth.

The feature-packed TV runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop based MIUI TV Operating System. Backed by Mali-T760MP4 GPU, it comes with 2GB RAM and 8GB ROM. Apparently, the TV’s 10-bit panel can decode 4K video at 60Hz. The much-anticipated product was unveiled at a press event in Beijing.

While the standard version of Xiaomi Mi TV2S costs Rs 29,990, the Cinema Edition is priced at Rs 39,990.

Though it will go on sale in its home country from July 28, there’s no word on global availability of the television.
