Xiaomi has launched the Watch S2 with AMOLED display, up to 12 days battery life and Bluetooth calling

The Xiaomi Watch S2 was introduced alongside the Xiaomi 13 series and Xiaomi Buds 4. The newest wristwatch from Xiaomi, the Xiaomi Watch S2, is available in two sizes, the smaller measuring 42mm and the larger measuring 46mm. Both models use an AMOLED display and are advertised as lasting up to 12 days between charges. Let’s examine the Xiaomi Watch S2’s cost, technical details, and features.

Priced at CNY 999 (about Rs 11,835) for the regular 42mm model, the Xiaomi Watch S2 is available now. However, the luxury leather version costs CNY 1,199. (around Rs 14,200). The company also released a 46mm version of the watch, with a normal price of CNY 1,099 for it (or around Rs 13,020). Priced at CNY 1,299, the Xiaomi Watch S2 46mm leather version is available (around Rs 15,385). The watch is already on sale in China and comes in Black, White, and Light Gold. Additionally, the company offers numerous colour options for both the silicon and leather straps on the Xiaomi Watch S2.

There are two sizes available for the Xiaomi Watch S2’s display. An AMOLED panel with Sapphire glass protection is available in both size options (1.43 inch and 1.32 inch), while the Sapphire glass is only offered with the leather version. However, an Always-on display is available in all four variations.

The Xiaomi Watch S2 includes a capacitive sensor for wear detection along with a heart-rate sensor, blood oxygen sensor, accelerometer sensor, gyroscope, air pressure sensor, ambient light sensor, temperature sensor, bioelectrical impedance analysis sensor, and geomagnetic sensor. The bioelectrical sensor retrieves eight key health data points using scientific methods, including basal metabolic rate, bone salt content, and body fat percentage.

Additionally, the Xiaomi Watch S2 contains functions for tracking sleep and exercise. The watch has more than 100 sports modes. The Xiaomi Watch S2 also has a speaker and a microphone for Bluetooth calling and conversing with the XiaoAI speech assistant. The watch is capable of using GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, QZAA, and Beidou. It uses Bluetooth 5.2 to connect to devices running iOS 12.0 and Android 6.0 and higher. The Xiaomi Watch S2 has a 50-meter water resistance range. Last but not least, there are two batteries in the watch: a 305mAh battery for the 42mm model and a 500mAh battery for the 46mm variant. Both variants, it is claimed, have batteries that last up to 12 days between charges.
