The company established 6,000-seat operations across 6 Indian cities, becoming the largest loan origination processor in Asia Pacific and achieving recognition in Everest Peak Matrix’s top 20 global players.Ā 

Today, Writer Information Management operates a comprehensive service portfolio that includes managing physical records across sectors like BFSI, healthcare, and manufacturing, while also offering technology-enabled services such as loan origination processing, finance and accounts outsourcing, and contact center operations serving both established banks and new-age startups. Today, we service over 3,000 global clients, supported by 12 million square feet of storage newable infrastructure and a robust portfolio of digital solutions. Our achievements include pioneering sustainable practices in information management, such as large-scale reenergy adoption across operations and comprehensive e-waste management. This evolution reflects our commitment to growth without compromising on responsibility or innovation.

As data continues to grow in volume and complexity, the ability to secure, analyse, and optimise it has become a business imperative. While blockchain is not currently a core focus, we continuously evaluate new and emerging technologies to integrate into our solutions as they become relevant to the evolving needs of our clients.Ā 

IT VOICE- What innovative solutions or tools have you developed recently to improve efficiency or customer experience?

Satyamohan Yanambaka-This is an era of ever refining AI. We have optimally leveraged the potential of AI algorithms in upgrading our Digital as well as BPO offerings. AI is a powerful tool and significantly enhances the delight & usability index of our service offerings. We have recently launched our Account Payables Automation platform where AI algorithms have been extensively used in a 3-way matching and similarly, we launched an object based Image search for our flagship InfodocsĀ® product. We are contemplating the launch of ROBOS in our physical storage business very soon, for which trials are being conducted currently.

We use advanced scanning technologies combined with optical character recognition (OCR) to accurately convert physical records into digital formats. These tools ensure high precision, even when dealing with older or degraded documents.

To maintain security during this process, all data is handled within secure environments, with strict access controls and encryption in place. We also align our processes with industry standards, such as ISO 27001:2013, to safeguard information throughout the digitisation lifecycle. Additionally, sensitive information is indexed and categorised to ensure ease of retrieval while maintaining confidentiality.

The system can be configured to interface with existing healthcare information systems while maintaining regulatory compliance. we offer a comprehensive suite of customizable solutions ranging from customer onboarding to enterprise content management. Each solution can be modified to align with a telecom provider’s existing infrastructure and specific operational requirements.Ā 

Our HR management and secure storage solutions adapt fully to your needs. IT VOICE-Ā  How are you ensuring the environmental sustainability of your IT operations and data centers?

Satyamohan Yanambaka- Writer Information is deeply committed to environmental sustainability, which is a cornerstone of its broader ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) framework. The organisation has taken tangible steps to reduce its ecological footprint, such as installing solar plants with an installed capacity of 481 kWp, offsetting over 500,000 units of electricity and saving 245 tons of carbon emissions in FY 2023-24. This initiative demonstrates a commitment to renewable energy adoption in its operations.

Moreover, the company complies with the latest E-waste Management Rules and ensures the responsible recycling of hazardous components. In FY 2023-24, over 5,753 kg of e-waste was responsibly disposed of, avoiding approximately 28,760 kg of CO2 emissions.

Writer Information also monitors and reports greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across its operations, applying recognised frameworks to reduce diesel usage and invest in energy-efficient technologies. These efforts highlight a systematic approach to minimising environmental impact across IT operations.

IT VOICE- Are you exploring energy-efficient technologies or green IT practices?

Satyamohan Yanambaka- Yes, Writer Information actively explores and implements energy-efficient and green IT practices. The organisation has committed to switching to renewable energy sources, evident from its growing reliance on solar power, which increased by 229% between FY 22-23 and FY 23-24.

In addition, the organisation follows sustainable building standards, guided by an industry best-practice checklist, and continually assesses its operations for energy efficiency. Plans include further managing Scope 3 emissions within its supply chain and expanding renewable energy adoption to achieve long-term sustainability goals.

Through the PolarisĀ® Sustainability Framework, Writer Information has integrated energy-efficient technologies and environmental stewardship into its broader operational strategy, ensuring its IT systems remain aligned with global green standards.
