WhatsApp introduces fresh text formatting features for desktop users

WhatsApp has introduced a new text formatting tool for desktop users, enhancing messaging capabilities. This update, widely rolling out to more users, includes the ability to apply formatting styles such as Code Blocks, Quote Blocks, and Lists. Code Blocks make it easier for users to share code within messages by using backticks (`). Quote Blocks are useful for responding to specific parts of previous messages and are created by adding the “>” character before the quoted text. Lists help organize information, and users can create ordered lists by adding characters such as “*”, “-“, or numbers before their text. These formatting tools aim to improve customization of the appearance and layout of messages, catering to various user needs. The feature is currently available to beta testers who have joined the official beta program of WhatsApp Web and are using the latest version of the web client.
