In an exclusive interview with IT Voice, Mr. Rajesh Goenka, Director, Sales & Marketing, RP tech India, reveals his strategies for business in India.

Nisha Harshwal:- What is the distribution of the company?

Mr. Rajesh Goenka: Incepted in 1989, RP tech India (a division of Rashi Peripherals Pvt Ltd) is the leading value-added distributor of technology solutions with 50 branches and 50 service centres. Growing at a consistent 20+ per cent CAGR YoY, the company offers products from over 23 renowned global brands to 9000+ customers spread across 750+ towns/cities.

With our fundamentally strong and robust business model spread across four business verticals: Component, Peripherals, Networking, Personal Computing and market verticals such as Retail, Online & Enterprise, we are proudly serving to renowned global brands such as AMD, APC, ASUS, ATEN, Audio-Technica, Belkin, Google Chromecast, Colorful, Crucial by Micron, DDN, Dell, ECS, Fitbit, HP, Infortrend, Intel, Lenovo, Linksys, Logitech, NVIDIA, Optoma, Plantronics, Samsung, SanDisk, Supermicro, Toshiba, TP- Link, Ubiquiti, Western Digital and many more.

Nisha Harshwal:- Does the company plan surge in other markets than hardware?

Mr. Rajesh Goenka: We are open to exploring possibilities in the business. However, currently, we do not have any plans to surge in other markets than the hardware and services business. We will focus on the existing brand portfolio and make our position strong in the market.

Nisha Harshwal:- What are the marketing strategies of the channel?

Mr. Rajesh Goenka: We will continue to empower channel partners through our value-added sales support and training programs. We also plan to expand our channel reach by penetrating the C and D class cities/ towns. We are also very big on digital marketing and promotional activities to constantly update our channel partners on new schemes and initiatives so that they can get maximum benefits from our value-added support.

Nisha Harshwal:- What would be the agenda of the company for this years?

Mr. Rajesh Goenka: We will focus on maintaining double-digit growth in this financial year and continue to expand our business horizon by adding new brands and product categories in our portfolio.

Nisha Harshwal:- What expansion of the channel are you expecting?

Mr. Rajesh Goenka: As mentioned earlier, we will reach out to new channel partners in the potential markets all across the country. We aim to touch upon 1000+ towns/cities in this financial year.

Nisha Harshwal:- How was your experience of PCD Training Program for Champions?

Mr. Rajesh Goenka: The PCD training program is RP tech India’s unique initiative aimed at educating Champions on growth prospects in the PCD vertical. The response for this year’s event was phenomenal and over 80 Champions from across India participated in the event to learn about new technologies and understand vendors’ product roadmap. Both vendors and Champions appreciated us for the successful execution of the event. We will continue to empower our Champions by organizing such knowledge events in 2020 as well.
