Mr. Olivier Tremouille, Managing Director- Socomec, shares his views with ITVOICE – on company business & future outlook  2014-15.

ITVoice)-  what is your vision on Socomec for the next two years?

Mr. Olivier Tremouille )- India is a very important and strategic market with growing trends for the future and we count on it to increase our market share in the next coming years. We have followed with great attention the developments in the critical power business in India. There is a growing demand in industrial sector and it requires more technologically advanced products and dedicated service. Understanding the need of the market we recently started producing Delphys MP Elite product in our Gurgaon factory. Delphys MP Elite is already an industrial proven product. This is a very initial step and we will consider the feasibilities to produce other products in India”.

ITVoice)-  what are some of the challenges that lie ahead in front of the UPS sector today?

Mr. Olivier Tremouille )- In recent years global down term and rupee fluctuation rate was major concern in the market as it affect pricing strategy.

ITVoice)-  what is Socomec India’s roadmap for 2014-15?

Mr. Olivier Tremouille )- As mentioned earlier, we have made huge investments to start manufacturing UPS also in India and we are pleased to inform you that our 1st range of Made in India UPS has been rolled out very recently. This Strategy is part of our SME centric business plan. We are looking to increase our market share from 5% to 10% by end of this year.

ITVoice)-  what are the key challenges for designing UPS systems for Indian conditions?

Mr. Olivier Tremouille )- Yes, the challenge to meet the demands of end users in terms of low operational cost, smaller foot prints, high availability and scalability and the pricing. Now the market demands of UPS system with high efficiency even at partial load to reduce the operating cost and to be a part of green revolution and also power density of the UPS systems are being increased with unity PF design (KVA=KW) due to recent developments of PF in modern server loads.

ITVoice)-  what is your channel policy in India? What kind of channel expansion are you looking for in the near future?

Mr. Olivier Tremouille )- Our Channel policy is always of focused and empowered partnerships built on trust and transparency and driving value through this value delivery chain. At present we have 45 Business Partners and more than 50 active VARs across India. The prime focus in near future is to continue extending the reach of our sales and services to new geographies and new customer segments thereby expanding our foot prints in the Small and Medium size enterprise sector.

ITVoice)-  what is your growth strategy here? What are the engines of growth for Socomec in India?   

Mr. Olivier Tremouille )- India is a very important and strategic market with growing trends for the future and we count on it to increase our market share in the next coming years. As there is a growing demand in industrial sector and it requires more technologically advanced products and dedicated service as we have started manufacturing the UPS here in India to cater requirement and to offer better Power solution to them.

ITVoice)-  what are the initiatives taken to popularize Socomec? What kind of budget has been allocated to further build the brand Socomec?

Mr. Olivier Tremouille )- We are reaching our customers and prospects through different media like Seminars, Exhibitions, Advertising, Direct Marketing, SEO and many more. We are also driving some segment specific focused marketing activities to communicate with the target audience. We have also capacitated the Channel Partners to position our products and services specifically into the SME segment which will further help to increase the reach and mind-share within this segment. 

ITVoice)-  what kind of strategy have you planned to position Socomec product successfully in the market?

Mr. Olivier Tremouille )- As a manufacturer with complete control over its technological processes, Socomec is quite unlike the more general providers. The Group is constantly improving its fields of expertise in order to offer its clients increasingly customised and appropriate solutions.
