Mr. Sudip De (Director IT) at best power equipments india pvt ltd. a leading UPS manufacturer based in Noida shares his view with Vikas Gupta from IT Voice, about the company’s strategy to target the Indian consumers & the company’s future plans.

Vikas Gupta :-   Take us through your growth journey over the last year.

Mr. Sudip De :- …Its been a mixed year. However in the power business, there has been a steady growth.

Vikas Gupta :-   What is your outlook for the overall IT & UPS market? What are you Marketing plans for 2016?

Mr. Sudip De :- …At BPE, we intend to grow by almost 70% .. Infact the focus is gradually shifting towards higher capacities of online UPS. We have been working a lot on  large projects of infrastructure , banking, datacenters etc. We have revitalized the channel structure and working on regional distribution mode.   

Vikas Gupta :-   As part of company  capacity expansion plans, what will be the strategy over the next few years?

Mr. Sudip De :-  We need to be seen as a channel  friendly organization with a Pan India reach and executioners of all enquiries . We intend to have a hit rate of 100% in case of partner willing to co work with us on any large case.  We will be working closely with the SME Channel and the enterprise partners. Ensuring profitability to them is our prime agenda thereby forging a successful business relationship with partners. We also want to offer customized solutions to the clients as per their requirement.

Vikas Gupta :-   What is your growth strategy here?

Mr. Sudip De :-  We are looking to maximize corporate business augmented with the channel business.  The focus is to create the confidence on Brand BPE and ensure deliverables are adhered to. We shall look at growing by close to 70% next year.

Vikas Gupta :-   How are you aligning your channel roadmap to target new customer segment?     

Mr. Sudip De :- …We are overhauling the entire channel with focus shifting from breadth billing to depth mode through designated regional Distributors.

Vikas Gupta :-   How do you view the future of the Indian UPS market?

Mr. Sudip De :- With BIS  in place, lots of fringe players will go out of market to enable large and and established brands to supply quality products to end customers. We look forward to be part of the digitalization that is up for grabs and ensure that as brand BPE , we participate in huge government buying.

Vikas Gupta :-   What is your channel policy in India? What kind of channel expansion are you looking for in the near future?

Mr. Sudip De :-  …We have one National Distributor, Iris Computers. Along with them we have numerous channel Regional Distributors. They help us penetrate into the 3rd and 4th tier cities where we are currently witnessing a steady growth. Here service deliverables become key and its  achallenge to keep providing improved services. We are upto the challenge and shall ensure that we reach out to distant locations through our well oiled machinery.

Vikas Gupta :-   Do you have any channel related initiatives to drive channel growth?

Mr. Sudip De :-  ………Yes, very soon we shall initiate a loyalty program for the partners basis their performance in the past. They will be graded into different strata and offered backends. Its basically making business a little more fun.
