Vivo Y69 smartphone gets a price cut in India

Smartphone maker Vivo launched its budget segment selfie smartphone Y69 in India in August last year. Now, the company has slashed the price of the same. Launched at Rs 14,990, the smartphone has received a price cut of Rs 1,000 and is now selling at Rs 13,990.
The smartphone comes in Champagne Gold and Matte Black colour options and is available across leading online and offline stores in the country.
For those unaware, the Vivo Y69 comes with a 5.5-inch HD display with 720×1280 pixel resolution. The display is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass on top. The smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system topped with a Funtouch OS of the company.
Powering the smartphone is an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. It offers 32GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB by adding a microSD card. The device comes equipped with a 16MP Moonlight front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The camera is powered by the Samsung S5K3P3ST sensor. The company has also incorporated various shooting modes in the front camera which include Face Beauty 6.0, Group selfie, Bokeh mode and more. There is also a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture.
In terms of connectivity, the Vivo Y69 offers 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, FM, USB, GPS and Bluetooth v4.2. The dual SIM device is backed by a 3000mAh Li-ion battery and supports the usual set of sensors.
Recently, the Chinese smartphone maker announced that it will be bringing in-display fingerprint sensor technology to it upcoming smartphone in 2018. The company made this announcement at the ongoing tech trade show CES 2018, in Las Vega, US.
