Vivo Y55s smartphone gets a price cut in India

The budget smartphone from the house of Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has got a price cut in India. According to Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom, the Vivo Y55s has received a price drop. Launched at Rs 12,490, the smartphone is now selling at Rs 10,990 after the price cut of Rs 1,500.
The company launched the Vivo Y55s in February last year in India. The smartphone comes in two colour variants Crown Gold and Space Grey.
Talking about the specifications, the Vivo Y55s sports a 5.2-inch HD display with 720×1280 pixel resolution. The handset runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system topped with the company’s own FunTouch OS and is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor.
The smartphone offers 3GB of RAM 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. The users can further expand the storage by inserting a microSD card. The device comes equipped with a 13MP rear shooter with LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies.
The handset is backed by a 2700mAh battery and offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.
The company claims that one of the high point of Vivo Y55s is its Smart Screen-Split feature. This feature enables users to multi-task and also use two apps at the same time
Recently, it was revealed that Vivo is working on the successor of its Xplay 6 smartphone which it launched in 2016. A PPT slide has surfaced online suggesting that the company is working on Vivo Xplay 7 smartphone.
The slide also reveals that the smartphone will be first in the world to come with 10GB of RAM. The device will also sport a sleek design and dual rear camera setup. The handset is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.
