ViewSonic launches Lightstream Pro7827HD projector in India

56671233US-based ViewSonic has expanded it projector portfolio with the launch of Lightstream Pro7827HD projector in India. Priced at Rs 1,14,900, it is available with the company’s distributors across the country. Viewsonic is offering 2-year-on-site warranty on the projector and 1-year or 1,000 hours on lamp (whichever is earlier). ViewSonic Pro7827HD is claimed to be the first in the LightStream series to feature a RGBRGB 6-segment color wheel, which is powered by the company’s SuperColour technology for detailed picture quality. It comes with a 10W speaker that is said to deliver clear and audible sound. The projector is equipped with ISF certification for color optimization and five viewing modes along with 2200 lumens and vertical lens shift.
Commenting on the launch, country manager, ViewSonic India, Pradeep Thamman said, “Pro7827HD is one of the most impressive home entertainment projectors in its price range. Featuring Cinema SuperColor RGBRGB color wheel, SonicExpert Technology, International Rec. 709 colors and smart designs, this projector comes with a great color balance, contrast and lens shift that will bring proper cinema feeling and astonishingly great viewing fun.”
Recently, Viewsonic’s rival in the projector space Epson launched a new home theatre projector in India. Bearing model number EH-TW6700, the projector is priced at Rs 1,29,759. The company claims that the home-cinema projector delivers up to 3,000 lumens of colour and white brightness.
Epson EH-TW6700 boasts 1.6x optical zoom, as well as vertical (±60%) and horizontal (±24%) lens shifts for superbly aligned images. It has two built-in 10W stereo speakers that are claimed to deliver lifelike sound. With up to 5,000 hours eco-mode lifetime, users can watch a 150-minute long movie every day for five years, without needing replacement. Epson also provides a 2 year warranty for a care free and entertaining experience.
