Updates for Nokia 3.1

Nokia 3.1 has begun to receive updates for Android 10 in the country and other countries as well. The reasonably priced smartphone was released into the Indian market with Android 8.0 Oreo when it was presented in 2018’s May. Nokia licensee HMD Global had previously proclaimed that the smartphone will receive the updates in the 2nd quarter of 2020. Although, users of Nokia 3.1 had to wait longer than that to receive the updates. It is going to be rolled out in stages and India is a part of the 1st wave.

The Finnish mobile phone company, HMD Global announced that Android 10 is finally released to Nokia 3.1 handsets. Aside from India, the 1st wave of countries ready to get the update comprises of 19 Asian countries.

The Finnish company also said that half of the markets will receive the over-the-air update by 10th October 2020 and a full release will be done by 12th October 2020. They had also announced earlier that Nokia 3.1 smartphones will get the Android 10 update in the 2nd Quarter of the year, 2020. Nevertheless, plans got overdue because of the pandemic.

The updates can bring in a variety of features like Dark theme, Smart Reply, intuitive gestures, and privacy and security related to control. The android 10 will also arrive with a Sound Amplifier feature that will boost, filter, and fine-tunes your smartphone’s audio systems for an improved hearing experience. Buyers can also set daily time limits on websites and applications. The update will also let the parents set up healthy digital habits for their kids through Family Link parental controls.

In other Android and Nokia-related news, the tech giant, Google has announced that Android Go phones are going to get a night mode feature on the camera application which is going to be in the form of an Over the Air update. The HMD’s chief product officer tweeted that Nokia 1.3 will also be having the feature, which will make the smartphone as one of the 1st to run on Android Go to receive the updates.
