Udaipur Job Fair 2018

A Job Fair was successfully organized by Department of Information & Technology and Communications of Rajasthan State government in Udaipur city. The event was from the series of Job fairs being organized by DOIT&C in various cities of Rajasthan. This time Udaipur’s Sukhadia University was selected as the venue.

The event was inaugurated on 4th of July by Honorable Minister of Higher Studies Rajasthan State Government Mrs.Kiran Maheshwari. She spoke to the media and said that Rajasthan Government has digitalized various government schemes. As a result effective implementation of these schemes has become easier. Also, now the process is transparent and the benefit of such schemes reaches to the needy directly. She also said that more than 400 government beneficiary schemes are available at 51000 E-Mitra kiosks in Rajasthan. She praised IT department of state government for organizing these events and providing employment to students in IT sector.

Interesting facts about the Job Fair DOIT&C in Udaipur on 4th July 2018 –

  • 130 domestic and Multinational Companies attended the event and conducted interviews.

  • 19000 job seekers registered themselves for the event.

  • Over 5500 job seekers appeared for interviews.

  • 2000 candidates were shortlisted for further interview process

  • 1500 candidates were selected after interviews and given joining letter on the spot.

Although, the event was organized by IT department but there were many companies hiring in Hospitality, Media, Consultancy services, Security Services, Banking Sector etc. Candidates were happy to have multiple career options available under one roof for them.

Job seekers from Udaipur and surrounding areas were enthusiastic and they started appearing for interviews at 8 in morning. Job seekers were allowed to appear for interviews in maximum two companies. Organizers categorized job seekers in three groups. One group was for 10th, 12th pass outs and ITI trained. Second group was for Graduates and Post Graduates and third was for B.Tech & MBA students. The segregation resulted in effective crowd management and hassle free interviews.

DOIT&C Deputy Director Mrs.Sheetal Agarwal said that refreshments for candidates and company representatives were also arranged by the department.

ITVoice participated in the event and conducted interviews for multiple profiles. 20 candidates were shortlisted for further interviews. Nisha Harshwal of ITVoice Pvt Ltd. interacted with many candidates, company representatives and government officials and all expressed very positive opinion about the event. Every one appreciated the effort by State Government and emphasized that such events must be a regular practice as they give employment opportunities to candidates and a corporate exposure to unemployed candidates.
