UBM India concludes the Delhi Jewellery and Gem Fair 2014 on a dazzling note

· Over 180 exhibitors from 25 cities across India

· 3rd edition of show sees visitor count more than double from that of last year

images (23) The Delhi Jewellery and Gem  Fair (DJGF), a three day (6th –  8th Sept 2014) jewellery show  hosted by UBM India at  Pragati Maidan, New Delhi,  proved once again that the  show is North India’s largest  B2B jewellery fair, recognised  as an integral part of the  jewellery industry in India by the Associations and the industry at large.

The Delhi edition is one of the major five jewellery shows held annually by UBM India for the Indian Gems and Jewellery industry.

The 3rd edition of the Delhi Jewellery and Gem Fair 2014 was inaugurated by Shri Siddharth I.A.S., Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Renowned industry dignitaries like Mr. Vijay Khanna (President – Karol Bagh Jewellers Association),Shri Ramavtar Verma (President – Delhi Bullion & Jewellers Association), Shri. Yogesh Singhal (Secretary – Delhi Bullion & Jewellers Association), Mr. Subash Bhola (Owner – Bhola Sons), Mr. Bipin Berry (President Uttarakhand State Jewellers Association), Mr. Satishchand Singhvi (President – Delhi Jewellers Association) Mr. Pawan Gupta (owner – PP Jewellers), Mr Ramesh Narang (Owner Hazoorilal) honoured the show with their presence.

Delhi Jewellery and Gem Fair 2014 had the latest designs of Jewellery on display by leading jewelleres like Naulakha Jewellers, ND Diamond, Swarn Shilp, S Rasiklal , Vimal Diamonds, Derewala Jewellery India Ltd., Damara Gold Pvt. Ltd, Jindal Jewellers, Chain – N – Chain Jewels Ltd, Swarnsarita Diamonds, PGP Joharia.

Key Highlights of the show were The three day fair had over 180 exhibitors from nearly 25 cities across states of the country. The total footfall achieved this year was double from that of last year. In addition to Northern India, DJGF’14 had representation from Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Gujarat, helping the participants in creating strategic alliances and building relationships with major Indian and International buyers. As a curtain-raiser, a series of road shows in adjoining cities of Amritsar, Lucknow, Meerut, Rohtak and Jaipur also played the feeder role for Delhi.

Mr. Joji George, Managing Director, UBM India, said, “The success of the Delhi Jewellery & Gem Fair 2014 has given us a strong foothold in North India, further strengthened our dominance and India footprint in the jewellery vertical with successful established shows in Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkatta and soon to be, Gujarat.”

Amongst the Associations that were present for the show, Ramavtar Verma (President – Delhi Bullion & Jewellers Association) said, “The show is a medium for us to build new contacts and get fresh business ideas. The core idea of having a show such as Delhi Jewellery and Gem Fair is the promotion of Jewellery in North India.”
