Twelve Telecom And FRAFOS Pass The British Telecom Wholesale’s IP Exchange Service Conformance Tests

frafos_logo_on_white-e1348757993780FRAFOS, a provider of innovative VoIP border control solutions, and Twelve Telecom, a provider of rich business communication solutions, announced that they have successfully completed testing with BT Wholesale’s IP Exchange service. Twelve Telecom is now able to offer this new service to all of its resellers wishing to reach number ranges beyond their own network, without the need for complex interoperability agreements.

To secure the interface to British Telecom, Twelve Telecom is deploying the ABC Session Border Controller (SBC) provided by FRAFOS. The ABC SBC is a highly flexible session border controller that protects VoIP service providers offering telephony services based on the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). With its out of the box support for cloud deployments and its open interfaces, the ABC SBC offers VoIP service providers the needed intelligence for integrating web applications and powerful monitoring features.

This accomplishment demonstrates the readiness of the ABC SBC for immediate deployment in BT IP-Exchange and other environments, providing accelerated implementation, standard interoperability, and high flexibility and security for operators and resellers,” said Berthold Butscher, CEO, FRAFOS.

Paris Karatzas, CEO, Twelve Telecom, said, “we are delighted with the ABC SBC provided by FRAFOS. The support is exceptional and we were able to interconnect with BT’s IP Exchange platform with minimum effort and optimal results. We are confident that Frafos can support us in the long term and offer us the latest technology and features.
