TRENDnet’s New Line Of 10 Gigabit Switches Now Available Worldwide

TRENDnet introduces two new cost-effective switch solutions with full-duplex network connections featuring groundbreaking 10G networking speeds. Fiber support on each 10G switch enables reliable, long distance networking applications. Smart fans reduce energy consumption and auto adjust for efficiency.

TRENDnet’s 12-Port 10G Web Smart Switch, model TEG-40128, features eight 10GBASE-T ports, two 10GE SFP+ slots, and two shared 10GBASE-T/10G SFP+ ports. The 28-Port Web Smart Switch, model TEG-30284, features 24 Gigabit ports and four 10G SFP+ slots.

“TRENDnet’s new line of 10G switches is suited for edge layer switching and a wide-array of other SMB applications, including large scale surveillance networks and camera installations,” said Sonny Su, technology director at TRENDnet. “In addition to the speed advantage, TRENDnet 10G switches improve network efficiency, reduce bottlenecking, and provide better scalability.”

Managed features include access control lists, VLAN, IGMP snooping, QoS, RMON, SNMP trap and syslog for monitoring and flexible network integration. The convenient and easy-to-use web-based management interface offers features for traffic control, troubleshooting, access control, and monitoring, allowing for network integration flexibility into an SMB network.

Last November, TRENDnet launched its 10 Gigabit product category with three high-performance fiber SFP+ modules, model numbers TEG-10GBS40, TEG-10GBS10, and TEG-10GBSR. TRENDnet’s new 10G switches are designed for use with TRENDnet 10G fiber modules to add a reliable 10 Gigabit link capability to any SMB network.
