Toshiba introduced the Encore Mini, Chromebook 2, Satellite Radius 11, and Satellite CL10-B

toshiba encore miniToshiba, as a part of its pre-IFA 2014 launch event, introduced the Encore Mini, Chromebook  2, Satellite Radius 11, and Satellite CL10-B.

The Toshiba Encore Mini WT7-C16 is available to buy from Toshiba’s US online store and other major retailers for $119.99 (roughly Rs. 7,200).

The Encore Mini runs Windows 8.1 with Bing out-of-the-box, and sports an 7-inch WSVGA (1024×600 pixels) LED backlit multi-touch display. A quad-core Intel Atom Z3735G processor (1.33GHz base clock, up to 1.86GHz) with 1GB of RAM powers the tablet.

The tablet comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB). The Encore Mini sports an 2-megapixel rear camera, while there is a secondary 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard.

On the connectivity front, the Toshiba Encore Mini tablet includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. The tablet packs a non-removable Li-Po battery, which is rated to deliver up to 7.3 hours of usage time. The Encore Mini tablet is available in Black and White colour variants, and weighs 354 grams.

Toshiba also launched the Chromebook 2 at its pre-IFA 2014 event. Ranging from $249.99 (roughly Rs. 15,100) – $329.99 (roughly Rs. 20,000), the laptop will first reach the US region on October 5.

The Toshiba Chromebook 2 runs Chrome OS and sports a 13.3-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution IPS display. The laptop is powered by the dual-core Intel Celeron N2840 Processor clocked at 2.16GHz as per Techradar.

Notably, the Toshiba Chromebook 2 comes in 2GB and 4GB RAM variants. It also houses an HD webcam for video chats. The Chrome OS-powered Toshiba laptop also sports 16GB of inbuilt storage. The Chromebook 2 laptop includes Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, USB 3.0 port, USB 2.0 port, HDMI output, and SD Card slot under its connectivity features.

While the size and the weight of the Toshiba Chromebook 2 are not yet known, the firm claims the battery will offer up to 9 hours of power.

Besides a Chromebook 2 and Encore Mini, Toshiba also launched two new laptops, dubbed Satellite Radius 11 and Satellite CL10-B. Both the laptops will be available in Europe in Q4 2014, however, no pricing details have yet been disclosed.

Unlike the Satellite CL10-B, the Satellite Radius 11 can be used in five different modes – Audience mode, Notebook mode, Presentation mode, Tablet mode, and the Table-top mode. The Satellite Radius 11’s screen can be folded up to 360 degrees. Also, the keyboard gets disabled as soon as the laptop is folded more than 180 degrees, making it a touch-enabled device.

Both the Satellite CL10-B and the Satellite Radius 11 share a similar 11.6-inch HD (768×1366) touchscreen. Some of the other specifications shared by both the devices are Intel HD graphics card; HD webcam with integrated microphone; Bluetooth 4.0; Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Stereo speakers with DTH sound. They also include HDMI-out; USB 3.0; USB 2.0; D card reader under connectivity options. Both laptops also measure 289x199x19.9mm and are available in Satin Gold colour.

The Toshiba Satellite CL10-B is powered by Intel Celeron processor with Intel Burst Technology 2.0 clubbed with 2GB of DDR3L (1600MHz) RAM. Operating on Windows 8.1 with Bing, the laptop includes 32GB of inbuilt storage and weighs 1.1 kgs. The laptop also offer 100GB of OneDrive cloud storage for users.

The Toshiba Satellite Radius 11 comes in two processor variants – Intel Celeron or Intel Pentium (both with Intel Burst Technology 2.0) paired with 4GB DDR3L (1600MHz) RAM. The laptop operates on Windows 8.1 and weighs 1.3 kgs.
