The IET Announces India’s Largest Conclave On The Internet Of Things – IoT India Congress 2016

Focus to be on Empowering Business Transactions in IoT

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (The IET) today announced dates for IoT India Congress 2016 – a three-day mega image005 (11)event on the Internet of Things. The event will be held on September 7, 8 and 9, 2016 in Bengaluru. Largest of its kind ever in India, it will bring players from various facets of the IoT ecosystem to help organisations uncover new business opportunities, outcomes and revenue streams; help move research forward to create newer technologies, discuss governance and policies and thus to create a roadmap for the evolving movement of IoT in India.

In line with the Government’s Startup India mission, the IoT India Congress 2016 will also have a special section for startups in the IoT space. These include mentoring and advisory sessions facilitated by veteran technologists to equip startup organisations with essential knowledge and skills to better leverage the fullest potential of the IoT as well as exhibition space and Award series.

The event was unveiled at the Annual IoT Conference of the IET India IoT Panel (a neutral platform which focuses not only on technology but the application aspect of IoT in various segments) held in Bengaluru.

Shekhar Sanyal, Country Head and Director, IET India said “The IET India IoT Panel has had an exciting one year and conception of an event of the scale of IoT India Congress is indeed commendable. The focus on empowering business outcomes in IoT fits well with the agenda of the panel and is the need of the hour in a global IoT landscape as well.”
