Terracon Ecotech And EBITECH Launches Educational DVD On Water Conservation For The Youth And Students

Terracon Ecotech, a pioneer in offering ecology based Terraconadvisory services and turnkey solutions in association with ENBITECH have launched an educational DVD namely “Water is Life” to educate and create awareness amongst youth and students about water conservation. The DVD was unveiled by Prof. R.N. Joshi accompanied by renowned personalities like, Dr. Sanjay Deshmukh, Vice Chancellor – Mumbai University, Dr. C.S. Lattoo among others.

“Water is Life” is a campaign under “Save Water” initiative conceptualized and scripted by renowned Biologist and Urban Ecologist, Prof. Sharad Chaphekar. This DVD has captured the importance of saving water especially when India has witnessed the situation of draught due to lack of rain this year. The release has come at a time when there is a need for imbibing the concept of natural resource management, especially conservation of water, due to frequent spell of droughts in the country and imminent water crisis witnessed globally.

“We are pleased to launch this educational film in English and Marathi on Importance and Conservation of Water. We genuinely feel that “Water is Life” will help students to understand the importance of water. It is just a small step from our end to educate the younger population on the importance of water and significance of its conservation”, said Dr Ramesh Madav, Director, Terracon Ecotech. “Also we would want to thank Prof. Sharad Chaphekar for conceptualizing and scripting this highly informative and insightful film. We plan to take this initiative national by releasing the film in Hindi in the next edition”, he further added.

The objective of this DVD launch is to make students and younger generation aware of the importance of water conservation at home, in industry, in agriculture, in office etc. so that they can carry such passion and drive as they move forward in their career and lives. The 25-minute knowledge sharing film on water will make them realize the problems from water crisis and motivate them to take necessary steps to preserve water. The plan would be to spread this knowledge and message through DVD (both English and Marathi language) to be shown to all the schools of Maharashtra to create maximum impactand awareness for saving water among children.

Terracon Ecotech & ENBITECH is also planning to dub this film in Hindi to capture Hindi speaking students so that the DVD can be shown to schools across India and the message of conserving water gets maximum reach.
