Telegram founder says app needs only few paying subscribers to cover costs

Telegram has introduced it’s paid subscription service before and now it is encouraging people to get it’s premium subscription done with the features given. Pavel Durov, founder of Telegram said that the messaging app has been used by various people in Ukraine and Russia during the war. Telegram app needs only needs 2.5 to 3 percent of users  for signing up the premium subscription to cover it’s costs. The rising of Signal and Telegram has been assigned to the increasing of concerns for the privacy of users on Whatsapp. According to the website Telegram has over 500 million monthly active users. The paid version of Telegram is known as Telegram Premium which is rolled out over users. It allows users to upload up to 4GB files, downloads faster, and conversion of voice messages into text. The company noted that it has over 700 million monthly users. The paid service costs up to $4.99/month.
