Telecom major Tata Teleservices said its enterprise business is growing at 17% annually, double than the industry average.
“Our enterprise business is growing at 17% year-on-year for the last few years against industry growth of about 8%,” Tata Teleservices president (enterprise) Prateek Pashine said.
He said enterprise business accounts for 30% of the company’s total revenue.
Pashine said Tata Teleservices is among the leaders in the Rs 35,000 crore enterprise segment of the telecom industry of Rs 2,00,000 crore.
Declining to disclose its overall market share in the enterprise business, saying there is no authentic data for that, Pashine said the company would strive to add 1-1.5% market share each year.
Tata Tele said it would continue to focus on both SME and large enterprises, but the former is growing at a faster pace.
Pashine said he did not think that non-availability of 4G licence for Tata Teleservices would pose any threat to the company’s growth plans for the enterprise business, as it is able to deliver in accordance with industry demand by arrangements and alternate technologies.
He also welcomed competition in the market and said the company would continue to leverage its huge existing infrastructure.
Tata Teleservices has 1.2 lakh km of optic fiber cable network across the country and is continuously expanding its bandwidth, he added
