TATA IPL 2023 will be live streamed on Jio Cinema – Will offer 4K streaming, support for 12 regional languages and multiple camera angles

Jio further using IPL to introduce JioDive

One of the most eagerly awaited cricket competitions of the year, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, is scheduled to begin on March 31. Gujarat Titans, who won last year’s championship, will play four-time winner Chennai Super Kings in the opening ceremony. IPL matches have long been shown on Disney+ Hotstar, but that will change with the start of the new season.

The IPL 2023–2027 season’s digital media rights were won by Viacom18, therefore only they would be able to broadcast matches online in India. Jio Cinema has been given permission by BCCI to stream IPL 2023 games as a result. Jio has announced a number of additional features it will be bringing specifically for the IPL fans since the cricket passion has returned.

4K Resolution Streaming

IPL matches will be streamed in 4K for the first time ever. Over the years, Hotstar has been streaming IPL in HD. The IPL 2023 matches will be streamed by Jio in 4K quality, which will offer a fair deal of clarity and details. Because nearly 90% of IPL matches are watched in 480p resolution, according to Jio, users will this time experience nearly ten times greater clarity.

Multiple Regional Languages Support

The IPL matches will be streamed by Jio Cinema in 12 different languages, which has never happened before. Users will be able to watch a cricket match in the language of their choice thanks to this. English, Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Bhojpuri, Odia, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam viewers can watch IPL 2023 on Jio Cinema.

Multiple Camera Angles

No one could have predicted that Jio Cinema would have a feature. You can watch IPL from the camera angle that you choose. This implies that you can choose any accessible camera option and watch the entire game through it. Only four camera angles—spider camera view, batsman view, bird’s eye view, and wicketkeeper view—have so far been added to the app.

Hype Mode

During the FIFA World Cup 2023, Jio Cinema debuted the Hype Mode. You can look up facts and figures about the two teams that are actively competing. Rewinding the game allows you to go in the past. IPL has also received confirmation of the function. Throughout the game, viewers will be able to view player statistics or any other match-related data.

Fan Feed

IPL fans will have a special area where they can support their team, socialise, and form alliances with other supporters of the same team. In addition, there will be a quiz and reward session where fans can win prizes by correctly answering amusing questions regarding the game.

Pre and Post-Match Shows

For every IPL game, Jio Cinema will host unique pre- and post-match shows. This previously solely applied to TV viewers. Experts like AB De Viliers, Chris Gayle, Suresh Raina, Eoin Morgan, Robin Uthappa, etc. will be on the panel. Jio will also let spectators talk to the commentators throughout every game.
