The Red Lion has sold out within days of each of its three Limited Edition drops on headphonezone.in in 2026, and a fourth drop is expected soon.
Each of the three drops has been a Limited Edition by design, and each has sold out within days of going live. The Headphone Gurus team has fielded steady inbound questions about when the next batch lands, and waitlist signups have grown with every reissue. The hype has held all year.
Originally launched as a Limited Edition variant of the Waner 2, the budget IEM Tangzu has been refining since 2023, the Red Lion has gone on to become the brand’s best-selling product to date. It uses a new 10mm dynamic driver with an enhanced PET diaphragm and a bass-focused retune, housed in translucent red resin shells with a colour-matched cable. Compared to the original Waner 2, the Red Lion runs warmer, with a fuller low-end and more body in the mids. The IEM is named after Shangguan Wan’er, the Tang Dynasty poet who served as China’s first female premier.
