Highlighting the opportunity that the expo presents, Dr. Anand Agarwal, CEO, Sterlite Technologies, said, “Urban areas will house 40% of India’s population and contribute 75% of India’s GDP by 2030. During the inaugural session on May 11th, Dr. Anand Agarwal will share his views on building a right policy framework and integrated technology ecosystem, in the panel discussion on “Smart Cities in India: Policy and regulatory environment.” Deepak Sharma, Head of Network Solutions, Sterlite Technologies will also represent the company in the second panel discussion on “Infrastructure and ICT providers need to collaborate to build smart cities,” the same day.
