Sony Working To Bring Down PS4 Game Prices In Europe

Thursday, November 28, 2013:  Sony has reportedly said that the prices of games for the Playstation 4 gaming console could go down before the device’s launch in Europe. According to recent reports, game publishers like Electronic Arts (EA) had announced very high prices for their Fifa 14, Battlefield 4 and other games for the Sony console. The prices were reportedly as high as £63 for a game. This is equivalent to almost $103 in the United States and over Rs 6,000 in India.

Further, these games are reportedly available at £55 for the Xbox One. This would translate to $90 in the United States. Sony has now reportedly initiated its European Playstation Network in advance, which would allow the company to do its tests and then move toward adjusting the prices on a regional level before the console starts selling this coming Friday, 29 November.
However, Sony has also reportedly warned gamers that nothing that has been said on the PSN is sure before the console is launched officially. Fans though have the option to pre order the games at the current prices and in case the prices go down, the difference between the two prices will be refunded to them.
