Sony Luanches Smart Connected Devices At MWC 2016

Joining the wearables bandwagon at the on-going MWC in SonyBarcelona, Sony also showcased smart accessories and concept devices under its Xperia brand. Apart from launching three Xperia X series Android smartphones, Sony also introduced its Xperia Ear, Xperia Eye and Xperia Projector.

Xperia Ear is simply a wireless ear-piece which can connect to Android smartphone via NFC or Bluetooth. This device keeps the user updated o their schedule, weather or the latest news. It is powered by Sony’s voice technology. This ear-piece is also capable of responding to verbal commands. Basically, the experience will be similar to getting Google Now updates but on your ears and not wrist. It is waterproof and can be worn always.

With the likes of LG, Samsung and others showcasing their 360-degree cameras, Sony also jumped in with its Xperia Eye. It wide-angle lens camera with 360-degree lens which has to be worn around the neck. It captures images with respect to facial expressions and voice recognition.

Sony also unveiled its Xperia Projector which delivers an interactive interface projection on any plain surface.

There is a personal assistant as well from Sony called Xperia Agent, which responds to voice and gestures. It comes with an in-built camera and projector which can be used to project images or videos.
