Sony launches 2.1 channel Soundbar in India

Japanes consumer electronics giant Sony has launched Soundbar HT-CT290 in India. Priced at Rs 19,990, the device will be available at all Sony Center and major electronic stores across India.
The HT-CT290 sound bar delivers 330W peak power and is compatible with Sony’s sound deflector with S-Force Pro front surround sound. On the connectivity front, it offers Bluetooth and USB and one HDMI port.
Recently, Sony also launched two home theatre systems – HT-RT5 and HT-RT3, as well as two sound bars – HT-CT790 and HT-CT390.The HT-CT790 and HT-CT390 sound bars are priced at Rs 35,990 and Rs 24,990 respectively. On the other hand, the HT-RT5 and HT-RT3 home theatre systems bear price tags of Rs 54,990 and Rs 18,990 respectively.
The top-end HT-CT790 sound bar delivers 330W peak power and is compatible with Sony’s sound deflector with S-Force Pro front surround sound. On the connectivity front, it offers Bluetooth, NFC and Wi-Fi. The cheaper HT-CT390 has a peak power of 300W and comes without Wi-Fi.
The HT- RT3, at a price of Rs 18,990, is a complete 5.1 channel surround sound system capable of delivering 600W power. It supports Bluetooth, NFC, USB and HDMI. The affordable HT-RT5, on the other hand, offers a peak power of 550W and has similar features along with Wi-Fi support.
