Sony is set to reduce the cost of the PS5 in India by Rs 7,500 on August 24th

Sony is preparing for a significant marketing move to enhance the appeal of the PlayStation 5 among Indian gamers. The company is gearing up to introduce a price reduction for its latest gaming console generation.

This exciting offer will make the Sony PS5 Disc Edition available for an attractive price of 47,490 INR. It’s important to note that this limited-time deal will commence on August 24 and continue for the subsequent 10 days, concluding on September 2. The Japanese tech giant’s newly introduced price cut will be accessible through various distribution channels.

These channels encompass prominent e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and Flipkart, as well as well-known retail outlets including Tata Croma, Vijay Sales, Reliance Digital, and ShopatSC. Notably, this promotional opportunity follows the PS5 discounts that were launched just last month. Sony frequently presents discounts for its PlayStation consoles, so the introduction of this fresh offer doesn’t come as a great surprise.

Reportedly, the company has observed the positive impacts of these discounts on sales and is seemingly introducing such offers to meet its sales objectives. It’s important to keep in mind that the PlayStation 5 comes in two versions: a Disc Edition and a Digital Edition. The former lacks a disc drive and is priced more affordably. With the introduction of this new discount, the Disc Edition variant will be obtainable for just 44,990 INR in India.
