A brand-new set of wireless on-ear headphones has been released by Sony India. The Sony WH-CH520 headphones have a number of important features that are considered to be necessities, like a battery life of 50 hours on a single charge. Additionally, the headphones have Sony’s exclusive DSEE digital audio upscaling technology, but only in its basic configuration rather than DSEE HX or Extreme. Other distinguishing characteristics place it in the same category as the Sony WH-CH720N headphones, but without active noise cancellation.

The Sony WH-CH520’s main features are 50 hours of music playback duration and capability for fast charging, which enables it to provide 90 minutes of listening after three minutes of charging. Additionally, you get simultaneous multi-device connectivity, which enables the headphones to connect to two running devices. As a result, users will be able to actively switch between two different phones, or a phone and a laptop, depending on what they would normally use throughout the day.

The Sony WH-CH520 headphones also have Sony’s exclusive digital audio upscaling engine, known as DSEE. But unlike the DSEE HX or Extreme versions found on Sony’s more expensive models, the upscaling technology is only present in its most basic form here. Through the Headphones Connect app, Sony also provides a beamforming mic for crystal-clear calling audio, digital equaliser settings, and 360 Reality Audio enhancement.

The headphones’ 30mm closed dynamic drivers, which are the same as before, have a frequency response range of 20Hz to 20kHz, encompassing the whole audible spectrum. It supports both SBC and AAC audio formats and works on Bluetooth 5.2.

The Sony WH-CH520 are available at both offline and online Sony outlets, and are priced at Rs 4,490.
