150x150xvGXf32618PM8222014.jpg.pagespeed.ic.tOni_7K3FDIf you are via Skype like services and applications on more than one devices, then all the devices start ringing with new chat notifications, and it becomes quite irritating to your ears. All these hum happen even though we are using the app on a specific device only. This issue will soon end with Skype as Microsoft is introducing Active endpoint.

Active endpoint is a new feature which will ensure that Skype delivers chat notifications only on that device which you are using at that particular moment. As explained by Skype team, if you sign in to Skype on multiple devices (like your laptop, smartphone and tablet) and suppose you are sending messages from your tablet only. Now the new notifications will be delivered to your tablet only and not to the other devices.

If you stop “actively using” Skype on all devices, then the notifications will start arriving on all connected devices once again, so that you don’t miss out any of them. The term, “actively using”, has not been explained by Skype but it’s most likely that it means Skype is not logged on any device at that moment. All Skype users will access this new feature in the next few weeks and you just make sure that you are using the latest version.
