Sinclairs Hotels’ Nine month Total Income Up 34% Operating Profit Up 50%

For the nine month period ended 31st December, 2015, Sinclairs Hotels’ Total Income increased by 34% to Rs.2,791.19 lakhs (Rs.2,082.66 lakhs). The Company’s Operating Profit for the nine month period increased by 50% to Rs.1,205.30 lakhs (Rs.802.11 lakhs).

In view of higher depreciation and taxation, Net Profit for the nine month period stood at Rs.518.53 lakhs (Rs.577.91 lakhs) while the Earnings per Share for the period stood at Rs.9.31 (Rs.10.38).

Mr. Sumit Guha has been appointed as Independent Director in the Company. Mr. Guha is a senior level professional holding Director level positions in Tata Group for the last 5 years. He has over 25 years experience across functions and companies of the TATA Group, India’s largest conglomerate.

Sinclairs Hotels’ properties at Ooty, Darjeeling, Port Blair (Andamans), Siliguri, Dooars and Kalimpong are all rated highly by visitors. The Company has recently commissioned the 7th property in its chain, Sinclairs Tourist Resort, Burdwan, which is the only property of its kind in Burdwan, an important destination in West Bengal.

The Company has strong fundamentals and its Reserves (excluding revaluation reserves) as at 31st March, 2015 stood at Rs.6,187.95 lakhs on an equity share capital of Rs.557 lakhs last year. The Company continues to be debt free.
