The much-awaited Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence User Conference India 2023 is currently underway, as it commences its two-day customer-focused event at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai. After a two-year hiatus, Hexagon’s annual conference for the Indian manufacturing industry returns as an in-person gathering, hosting over 1,000 attendees on Day 1 alone. The conference brings together industry leaders, experts, and visionaries from the engineering and manufacturing community.

The theme for this year is “Engineering Quality: From Concept to Customer”. The conference focuses on the importance of Quality in driving success and innovation. Hexagon understands that robust quality systems and processes optimise business practices, facilitate continuous improvement, and enable smarter manufacturing. Keynote speakers at the Hexagon Manufacturing Industry User Conference India 2023 include Mahesh Kailasam, SVP & GM, Design & Engineering; Alexander Freund, Director, Production Software; Som Chakraborti, Global Director of Metrology & QA Software; Boon Choon Lim, President, Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, division, Korea, ASEAN, Pacific and India; and Stephen Graham, EVP and GM, Nexus from Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division. Dr. K. Subramanian, Senior Vice President, Ashok Leyland; Murali Balasubramanian, Automotive Research & Advanced Engineering, INDIA head, Stellantis; Mahesh V P, Dean IIT, Chennai; Dr.Suryanarayana Prasad A N, Head – Simulation and Analytics, Ashok Leyland; Sridhar Lingan, Sr. Principal Engineer – CAE (Crash & Occupant), CFD & Methods Development, Mahindra will also make keynote addresses during the event.

The day’s focus on industry expertise and collaborative spirit lays a strong foundation for further exploration, which is demonstrated in the plethora of technical papers on advanced technologies presented in multiple tracks focused on specialised domains.
  • Day 2 (September 6, 2023) focuses on additive manufacturing discussions, featuring keynote presentations, industry insights, and pioneering solutions in structures, materials, and processes. Notable sessions include an industry keynote by Murali Balasubramanian of Stellantis, a deep dive into agile simulation process data management, and an exploration of the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in commercial vehicles. Other sessions on the agenda for the day include optimization, simulation, and predictive analysis, culminating in awards and a closing note.
