Seven Asus Zenfone smartphones get a price cut in India

Like most other brands, Asus is expected to refresh its lineup of smartphones in 2018. However, Asus has given a new year gift to potential customers by slashing prices of its smartphones in the Zenfone line up.
Asus has announced a permanent price cut for as many as seven of its ZenFones series smartphones – including both variants of ZenFone 3 (5.2-, 5.5-inch), ZenFone Max, both variants of ZenFone 3 Max (5.2-, 5.5-inch) and both variants of ZenFone Go (5-, 5.5-inch).
Starting with the Zenfone 3, both variants have received a price cut of Rs 2,000; bringing the prices to Rs 11,999 for the 5.2-inch screen variant and Rs 14,999 for the 5.5-inch screen variant. The former variant has a 32GB internal storage coupled with 3GB RAM, while the latter variant has 64GB internal storage paired with 4GB RAM. The handset boasts of a 16MP rear and an 8MP front facing snapper. It is powered by 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor.
The Zenfone Max handset was available at Rs 7,999 but now has got a price drop of Rs 500. Now priced at Rs 7,499, the device features a 5.5-inch HD display, 13MP rear camera with dual LED real tone flash and a 5MP front camera. It has 16GB internal storage paired with 2GB RAM. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, it boasts of a 5000mAh battery.
As for the Zenfone 3 Max, the handset’s two variants — the 5.2-inch and the 5.5-inch variant — have got a price cut of Rs 1,500 and Rs 3,000 respectively. Earlier priced at Rs 9,999 and Rs 12,999, the handsets will sell at Rs 8,499 and Rs 9,999 starting today. Both handsets vary on specs front. The smaller variant is powered by 64-bit quad-core processor and has a 13MP rear and 5MP front camera. The bigger variant is powered by 64-bit octa-core processor and features a 16MP rear and 8MP front camera.
Lastly, the Zenfone Go 5-inch variant has been priced at Rs 6,499 from Rs 7,499 and the 5.5-inch variant has been priced at Rs 6,999 from Rs 7,999. The prices of both handsets have been slashed by Rs 1,000. The smaller variant is backed by a 2600mAh battery and has a 16GB on-board storage paired with 2GB RAM. The bigger variant offers 32GB ROM and 2GB RAM and is backed by a 3000mAh battery. Both the variants share the same 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing shooter.
