Sellers Make Big Bucks In Flipkart’s Big Billion Sale

Around 500-odd sellers had posted their products in the October 13-17 online sale held on the ecommerce website.

FlipkartUnlike last year’s fiasco, this year better preparedness by the e-commerce giant resulted in high volumes for the traders during the mega sale event.

It seems that average margin strategy worked well for the online traders of Flipkart.

According to an official the company had prepared for six months with sellers on its platform for the mega event.

The marketplace has more than 42,000 sellers. In order to on-board close to over a lakh sellers in a year, Flipkart’s focus on the merchant side has increased.

The ‘Big Billion Sale’ was only availbale on the Flipkart’s mobile app which spread out over five days as compared to one day last year.

The sale was focussed on specific category each day during the five-day event which helped the e-commerce giant manage the traffic better.

Flipkart has also trained its merchants by ecommerce professionals inorder to help them in management of orders, supply and store during the sale.
