Scoot Takes Off To Jaipur

Asia/Pacific’s Best Value Airline1 inaugurates services from Singapore to Jaipur

Taking a step forward in its India journey, award-winning value airline Scoot, launch edits inaugural flight from Singapore to the Pink l-r-his-excellency-lim-thuan-kuan-civil-aviation-minister-smt-krishnendra-kumar-and-scoots-india-country-head-bharat-mahadevanCity of Jaipur yesterday, operated by its latest 787 Dreamliner. After successfully commencing operations in Chennai and Amritsar, Jaipur becomes the third Indian city to experience the Scootitude. Scoot’s services between Singapore and Jaipur will start with flightsthrice a week, with the frequency going up to four times a week from October 30, 2016.

The launch event was inaugurated by Smt. Krishnendra Kaur, Honorable Civil Aviation Minister and Minister of Tourism, Rajasthan and His Excellency Mr. Lim ThuanKuan, High Commissioner of The Republic of Singapore to India,in the presenceofMr. Bharath Mahadevan, Country Head – India, Scoot.

Smt.VasundharaRaje, Honorable Chief Minister, Rajasthan said, “We are excited to welcome an international airline like Scoot as it opens l-r-his-excellency-lim-thuan-kuan-civil-aviation-minister-krishnendra-kaur-and-scoots-india-country-head-bharat-mahadevanlighting-the-lampnew avenues for the public in Jaipur to fly to popular destinations. This will go a long way in boosting trade and tourism for the city making it more prominent on the world map.”

Mr.Srithar GB, Regional Director, South Asia, Middle East & Africa, Singapore Tourism Board said “India is an important market for Singapore, and there is strong growth potential in the Tier 2 cities. For the first half of 2016, visitor arrivals from Tier 2 cities registered a 10% growth compared to the same period in 2015. We are confident that the launch of Scoot’s direct flight between Jaipur and Singapore today, coupled with STB’s tactical efforts including joint marketing partnership with Scoot, will help promote travel to Singapore.”

According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA)[1], India is projected to be the world’s thirdlargestair passenger market by 2031with a projected total of 367 million passengers by 2034, an increase of266 million annual passengers compared to today.
