Sanjeev Sharma, National Channel Manager -Pronto Networks
Sanjeev Sharma, a seasoned IT sales professional, is now the new National Channel Manager of the US based Pronto Networks. In his new and higher capacity, Sanjeev Sharma is expected to build Pronto Networks a PAN India brand. He shall be focusing to set up a strong SI channel and build up key accounts across the country. Sharma will also stimulate expansion of Pronto India team both vertically and horizontally.
Sanjeev Sharma’s movement to the top of the ladder is a part of Pronto’s extensive strategy to expand and cement its position in India and the immediate neighbouring countries. He comes with more than 13 years of experience in the IT & Networking industry. In the past, he has served with various conglomerates including ZyXEL Communications and Linksys (Cisco Systems). He has been associated with Pronto for over a year now.
“My prime responsibility is to make Pronto Networks a leader in wireless networking and AAA solutions industry. In India, we are strongly establishing ourselves in the enterprise segment with a key focus on the education and hospitality segments,” says the new Channel Manager.His strategy for Pronto is pan-India penetration, covering untapped channels and regions, and creating new verticals of businesses. He apprised that the enterprise and SMB range of products will be primarily focused and catered through VAR & SI partners.
Speaking over current business scenario, he maintains that the SMB/SMEs and enterprise are key catalysts for the growth of networking market. Some good opportunities are in near future as customers are getting educated about the evolving technologies and they are demanding solutions that cater to their requirements with performance, reliability, warranty and post sales service. And Pronto is committed player in this regard.
Pronto Networks is operational in India since 2002. It provides carrier-class operations support systems (OSS) that enables network operators to deploy and manage large public WLAN Networks. The company’s software handles provisioning, configuration, authentication, access control, security, pre-paid and post-paid billing, and roaming settlement for large public WLAN Networks. Some of the verticals in which the UniFi OSS solution is deployed are metro-wide broadband wireless mesh networks, multi-location enterprise campuses and hotels, airports, conference centers, multi-dwelling units, and other typical hotspots.
