SanDisk iXpand Mini flash drive for iPhones, iPads launched, starts at Rs 2,750

Western Digital-owned SanDisk has expanded its mobile storage solutions lineup in India. The company has expanded its iXpand range of flash drives that come in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB & 128GB capacities with prices ranging from Rs 2,750 to Rs 7,050.
The new-generation iXpand flash drives, dubbed iXpand Mini Flash Drive, come with Lightning connector on one side and a USB 3.0 connector on the other side. The drives support transfer speeds of up to 70MB/s. The iXpand Mini Flash Drive is available exclusively on Flipkart.
The flash drives come with a companion app called iXpand Drive app, which allows users to automatically back up their camera roll and watch popular video formats straight from the drive. Additionally, it also allows the users to cast content from the iXpand Mini Flash Drive to their television via Chromecast.
Commenting on the launch, Khalid Wani, managing director Sales, Western Digital Corporation India said, “Smartphone and tablet users are creating more content than ever before and we know that customers are looking for physical mobile storage solutions that are easy to use, portable and reliable. The new SanDisk iXpand Mini Flash Drive offers iPhone and iPad users an option to capture everything they love without worrying about running out of space.”
Last year, the company had launched the iXpand drive at Rs 3,990 for 16GB variant, that was exclusively available on Amazon.
Earlier this year, the company had launched two new flash drives+ — Extreme Pro and Extreme Go USB — and a new microSD card, SanDisk Ultra 256GB. The microSD card claims to offer much faster speed, courtesy the new A1 U3 standard support it comes with. Priced at Rs 18,990, the card can hold up to 24 hours of full-HD video and offer transfer speeds of up to 95MB/s and offer random read input-output access per second (IOPS) of 1,500 and write IOPS
