Samsung Will Launch 1st Tizen Smartphone In India By November!

ITVoice News: Samsung is planning to launch a smartphone running on its own Tizen OS by November in India. It is an in-house developed OS aimed aimed at competing with Google’s Android system. Samsung’s director (Media Solutions Center), South West Asia, Tarun Malik stated that they are much focused developing the new OS. Malik would be responsible for Tizen-based smartphones promotion.

download (25) He mentioned that the  new OS smartphones will  co-exist with the Android  devices. According to the  reports, Samsung might  not launch the Tizen  flagship Samsung Z in  India that it announced in  June. Instead, the company will launch the budget Samsung Tizen based SM-Z130E or SM-Z130H, as stated on the company’s website.

Samsung Z was specially designed smartphone to run on Tizen platform and was expected to release in Russian smartphone market in the third quarter of this year. It is a single SIM device, running on Tizen 2.2.1 OS out-of-the-box. The smartphone supports 12.19-cm (4.8-inch) screen with 2.3GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage space, which is expandable up to 64GB by using microSD card. It has 8MP rear camera with LED flash and BSI sensor, 2.1 MP front shooter and 2600mAh battery.
