Samsung Launches Internet Browser for PC, Marking a Major Step Toward AI-Powered Cross-Device Connectivity

Samsung Electronics has unveiled the beta version of Samsung Internet for PC, marking the popular mobile browser’s expansion to desktop platforms for the first time. The launch, beginning October 30, 2025, in the United States and South Korea, represents a major step in Samsung’s goal to create a connected and intelligent Galaxy ecosystem powered by ambient AI.

According to Won-Joon Choi, Chief Operating Officer of Samsung’s Mobile eXperience (MX) Business, the new PC version brings a more integrated experience across devices. “This beta program lays the foundation for smarter, more personalized browsing experiences. We envision Samsung Internet as more than just a browser — it’s an intelligent platform that anticipates user needs while maintaining strong privacy protection,Choi stated.

Seamless Syncing Between Devices

Samsung Internet for PC bridges mobile and desktop experiences by syncing essential browsing data such as bookmarks, history, and passwords through Samsung Pass. Users can securely autofill login details and resume browsing sessions seamlessly when switching between a smartphone and PC. This feature ensures a unified experience across Samsung’s ecosystem, promoting fluid transitions between devices.

The browser integrates Galaxy AI to enhance productivity and convenience. With tools like Browsing Assist, users can instantly summarize or translate web pages, find relevant information faster, and enjoy a more intuitive browsing journey. Logged-in users will experience Samsung’s early vision of AI-assisted browsing, blending intelligence and connectivity.

Built-In Privacy and Security

Security remains a top priority for Samsung Internet for PC. The browser features Smart Anti-Tracking, which blocks third-party attempts to collect user data. Additionally, a Privacy Dashboard allows users to monitor and manage their security settings in real time, reinforcing Samsung’s commitment to safe and trustworthy digital experiences.

A Glimpse Into the Future of Browsing

Samsung’s move to bring its Internet browser to PC also reflects its broader ambient AI vision, where devices seamlessly interact to support users’ daily activities. The company aims to evolve the browser from a traditional web tool into a context-aware AI platform capable of anticipating user preferences and providing intelligent assistance.
