Samsung Intros Specification Of Its Gear A Smartwatch

Samsung gears up for its upcoming wearable, a Smartwatchsmartwatch. According to the latest reports, the wearable device is all set to be the firm’s first device featuring a round face design. Samsung had introduced the product during the recent Tizen Developer Summit held in India.

With a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels, the upcoming device sports a rotating bezel ring touted to be the navigation tool. Rumours are also doing the rounds that it might be used to zoom in on images, interact with games or scroll through the screen just like Apple Watch’s digital crown.

Powered by Exynos 3472 dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and the Mali-400 MP4 GPU clocked at 450 MHz, the gear runs on Tizen 2.3.1 coupled with768 MB RAM and 4GB of ROM. Backed by 250mAh battery, it comes embedded with some standard sensors like GPS, heart rate monitor, accelerometer etc.

With the connectivity options of Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi, the much-anticipated wearable device is expected to be launched on August 13 during an event.
